I've never made a salt before. We use salt loose, so it's about time I made something attractive for the salt to live in.
So, sea monster salt in cherry, with a praying Jonah salt spoon in black walnut.
I'm not putting my fingers in there, but Jonah......it's his job apparently.
We use Maldon salt and I thought the container was called a pig. My Mother-in-law was from Maldon and we still have family in the area.

I think pig is Scots for pot and describes a larger jar for salt in the kitchen. One you can get your hand in. This is fairly small for the table. I'm calling it a salt.
